Life has been busy the last while as I have started a new job. Not any new job, but my dream job! I am now a full time illustrator at a video game company. It did require me to move to another city, which is why I have been so busy. How did I end up with so much stuff crammed into my old house? Packing and un-packing are not fun. This does mean I have left my make-up job, but I will still be doing make-up on the side for fun. Hopefully I can post up some of my work illustrations soon.  

Make up! Make up! Make up! I've been doing a lot of it lately along side costumes. It's been a ton of fun and I keep expanding on my arsenal of products and knowledge in the effects make up world. I am not a professional make up artist, I do however work in a store that sells effects make up and we must be trained in how to use it so we can show customers who come in. I guess in a way I have training for effects make up, but not the school variety. We want to make sure people get the right product for what they want to do and know how to use it safely. I love taking the knowledge I gain from work and using it in my free time for my costumes and cosplay. This is a super awesome hobby and I love playing with different effects and techniques to better my own skills. I've posted up some pictures of my most recent work and some of my tests for upcoming events. I am looking forward to playing with our new blood we just got at work! I know most girls don't get excited about blood, but I do! Yeah, I'm not your typical kinda gal, hehehe.  

I've also almost finished my Mandalorian Mercenary costume! I got the majority of it finished for a photo shoot session and will have some pictures up from that. Just a couple minor tweeks to the costume and I can apply for the Mando Mercs club. I also need to finish the sniper rifle I want to have with my Mando kit. That still has a lot of work to do on it however.

Current costumes in the works:
- Twi'lek Mando (using my base mando kit, but making a new helmet and lekku)
- Custom Asari from Mass Effect
- Poe Collector from Zelda: Ocarina of Time

The digital art and the costumes have been going on steadily. I've been posting more up lately as I progress. The current project under way is the Manadalorian armour for my character Callipso Liir. I've posted up concept pics, and once the costume is completed I hope to get a decent photoshoot done. The helmet is the one part of the costume that is going to take the longest and be the most difficult to complete. The goal is to sculpt it and make a cast so that I have a mold I can use for slush, or roto, casting. Then I can have multiple helmets!

The plan is to have the costume completed for mid-August, in time for C6.

I have been doing quite a few costumes as of late. With costumes however, I have had the urge to do more and more fancy make-up to go with them. I've been doing some fun special effects make-up tests the last few weeks and learning to use some really neat stuff. I have posted a couple of my Steampunk creations in my gallery. Soon to follow will be more costume pictures and hopefully some zombie make-up photos.

Lately the only drawing I've been doing is a lot of costume concepts. So naturally, I am now making some of those costumes. I hope to get some decent photographs when they are completed and post them up here. It's been a fun shift in art creation from digital to fabric.
